NEW YORK – Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was ordered immediately freed from a Manhattan federal lockup four months early on Thursday by a judge who cited his asthma and the greater danger he would face behind bars during the COVID-19 outbreak.

U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer made the ruling after telling lawyers on both sides that he intended to do so. He stated “a raging and virulent pandemic that has entered federal prisons in New York City.” “In light of the heightened medical risk presented to Mr. Hernandez by the COVID-19 pandemic, there are extraordinary and compelling reasons to reduce Mr. Hernandez’s sentence,” the judge said.

This was not taken lightly by other major league rappers, specifically Meek Mill a prominent part in the African American community and activist in criminal justice reform. Out of a one year social media hiatus due to him being incarcerated, Tekashi 6ix9ine announced he was going live on Instagram May 8. Which had people wondering and anticipated to see what he was gonna say. Meek Mill called out Tekashi 6ix9ine on Friday, saying that the formerly incarcerated rapper is a "rat." "I hope that rat going live to apologize to the people he told on or the victim," Mill, wrote on Twitter ahead of Tekashi Instagram Live stream. Meek Mill saw right through the tough guy, trolling persona that made 6ix9ine millions. Mills continued on to say, "It looked like he was living a life that wasn't his life," he tells Charlamagne Tha God on interview show "The Breakfast Club". "It looked like he was going to get in some real bad trouble and he would have to turn into himself like he did in the courtroom."

On Tekashi's live he addressed his "snitching ways" and tried/did justified his actions, “I snitched; I ratted,” he said. “But who was I supposed to be loyal to? Someone that kidnapped me and tried to kill me, put a bag on mother's head (trying to pay to have his mother killed). If you can't be loyal to me here in the free world, what makes you think if I held it down you wouldn't pay someone in jail to poke me up in my neck." Many people sided with Tekashi after hearing his side of the story. What would you have done, snitched or did the time?

The End.
